Hello! My name is Leigh Krefting. I am originally from Minot, ND and moved to Grand Forks shortly after marrying my husband, Kirby Krefting. Together, we have two beautiful children, a girl, Karter Krefting, who is 18 and a freshman in college at University of North Dakota , and a boy, Kieper Krefting, who is 16 and a 10th grader at Red River High School.

My career in cosmetology began in 1997 when I started school at Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1998 I graduated and began my stylist journey in Minot until 2000. Then, after moving to Grand Forks, ND, I worked at Unique Impressions/ Spalon Tamangi until 2009. It was then that I began working on my own, first at Ultimate Look and, in 2011, Studio South, my current workplace.

Studio South on 36th became my ideal work location as I adapted quickly to self-employment, loving everything about it. I love having my own space, of course, but, in addition, I love my clients.

Providing a fresh, new color, cut, or specialty coloring for them is so gratifying to me because they are special people, special friends. It's like a bonus to introduce them to a new look that they will love in addition to practicing my chosen profession. As I look toward the future, I hope for many more successful years at Studio South.
