My name is Amber Stegman. I am a Mayville State graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree specializing in business, real estate, IT and management. I have been a cosmetologist for 14+ years. I am certified in Sugaring (hair removal) with Alexandria Professional Sugaring Company and a certified educator for Dream Catchers and Line One Hair Extensions, including I-Tip, K-Tip, Weft and Tape-In. I am also a certified hair replacement specialist, including Micro Point, Hair Toppers for Men and Wigs, partnering with International Hair Goods. My passion is to stay current on all education classes, product knowledge, techniques and the latest hair cutting and coloring trends. I also specialize in blondes, including balayage, Ombré, Sombre, bronding, highlighting, babylights, toning, and glossing. I stay educated and use Matrix, JackWinn Pro, Milkshake, Davines and Loma. I became the manager of Studio South Salon in 2013, and My husband and I bought it in 2019 and built a 2nd location in 2022. Hi! I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Ali, I have been doing hair for over 20 years. I joined Studio South September 2020 and I have not looked back!
My career began in Grand Forks. For 17 years of my career I was in 2 Aveda salons. Both in Grand Forks and San Antonio, TX. Since being at Studio South I am now a Davines Salon. I offer color, haircuts, and facial waxing. I do specialize in blonding and balyage, but I do all types of coloring. I am one of the few certified master hair extentionists located in Grand Forks. I offer Line One hair keratin bonded and hand ties hair extensions. I have a passion for continuing education and make sure I get multiple trainings in yearly.
When I am not in Studio I like to spend time with my family. I have been married for over 20 years (poor guy!), and we have 2 children. My daughter attends The University of North Dakota, and my son is in elementary school. They both keep me very busy with their lives and schedules! I also love fashion and football. Hook’em y’all! Jess Eckert
Hello, I'm Jess Eckert. I have been doing this for 18 years and have spent the last seven years of my career here at Studio South. Coming to Studio South was the best career decision I've ever made. I absolutely love my job. The services I offer are color, cuts and facial waxing; however, I do specialize in doing all types of hair coloring, particularly blondes. I also attend color and haircutting technique classes as often as I can to keep up with the latest hair trends that we see each year. Welcome to Studio South... I am Jenni Rasmussen, and I have been a hairstylist for over twenty years and have been with Studio South for almost two years. Twenty years in the hair industry have given me the opportunity to work with great product lines such as Paul Mitchell, Matrix, Scruples, and Goldwell.

Hi there! I'm Mia, a master colorist here at Studio South. I attended Aveda Institute in Minneapolis and started my career at Juut Salon Spa in St. Paul, where I advanced my training in color. I quickly worked my way up to a master colorist and attended many classes taught by amazing artists from around the world. After nine years, I started my own business at Petite Salon in St. Paul, where I continued my education in cutting and styling so I could do it all!! 18 years later, I decided it was time for a change, and we decided to move up north to Grand Forks! I now carry the Milk Shake brand for retail purchases.

Hello!! My name is Amanda Amb. I have been doing hair for over 4 years now. I started my hair journey at The Salon Professional Academy in Fargo where I graduated in 2019. After graduation I worked at Avant in downtown Grand Forks. I loved working there but with a busy family I knew I needed to pursue my own path. Sara Wakeford
I've been a licensed massage therapist since July 2013. I moved into Studio South in December 2017. My previous career was as a Surgical Technician for eight years before switching gears to massage therapy. I'm the mom of 5 precious fur babies who are my whole world. I work hard, so they have a better life. I enjoy vegetable and flower gardening in the summer, and winters are filled with crafting projects. My greatest joy is helping others in my practice. I offer my clients Swedish and deep tissue massage, cupping, gua sha, trigger point, lymphatic massage and Himalayan salt stone. Every day is different and a blessing.

Hi! My name is Geneva Weekley. I've been a hairdresser for 16 years and up here at Studio South for the last seven. I specialize in haircuts, color, and facial waxing. At my previous salon, I fell in love with UNITE styling products and am now one of the few salons in town that retails it.

Hello! My name is Leigh Krefting. I am originally from Minot, ND and moved to Grand Forks shortly after marrying my husband, Kirby Krefting. Together, we have two beautiful children, a girl, Karter Krefting, who is 14 and a freshman at Red River High School, and a boy, Kieper Krefting, who is 12 and a 6th grader at Schroeder Middle School.
My career in cosmetology began in 1997 when I started school at Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1998 I graduated and began my stylist journey in Minot until 2000. Then, after moving to Grand Forks, ND, I worked at Unique Impressions/ Spalon Tamangi until 2009. It was then that I began working on my own, first at Ultimate Look and, in 2011, Studio South, my current workplace.
Studio South became my ideal work location as I adapted quickly to self-employment, loving everything about it. I love having my own space, of course, but, in addition, I love my clients.
Providing a fresh, new color, cut, or specialty coloring for them is so gratifying to me because they are special people, special friends. It's like a bonus to introduce them to a new look that they will love in addition to practicing my chosen profession. As I look toward the future, I hope for many more successful years at Studio South.

Hello everyone, my name is Sara Anderson. Being a hairstylist has been my passion for over 20 years. My career started in Minot, ND, at Regis Salon, and after a short time there, I moved to Grand Forks to accept a manager position at Regis Salon in the Columbia Mall. I moved to be an independent hairstylist here at Studio South seven years ago. I graduated from the University of North Dakota with my nursing degree in 2019. I began my career working in the Pediatric ICU, before taking the leap into the field of aesthetics.

Hi there! My name is Malanna Boutain. Pronounced like (ma)-(lay)-(na), or “Alayna” with an M. I have been a hairstylist for 3 years now, and joined Studio South November of 2021! Hi, my name is Amanda! I have lived in Grafton/Grand Forks community my whole life. My passion is fitness and well being. I am a certified yoga instructor, have my 500 HR RYT, and CCT leveled trained 1-4. As well as a Zumba instructor. I love immersing myself into new challenges. After being in the financial and business world for 30 years I have decided to take another path. This past year I went back to further my education and become a licensed massage therapist and a licensed esthetician. I just recently opened up a space located within Studio South Salon. Hello! My name is Nicole Vanyo and I have been practicing massage for over 12 years. Hello! My name is Juliet Hagen and I’ve been a licensed massage therapist since 2008. I graduated from European massage therapy school in Las Vegas. I have also been a certified personal trainer since 1996. I became a massage therapist after receiving massage therapy and realizing how it helped my body recover from the many fitness classes I was teaching and the races I was running. I always enjoyed helping my clients achieve a healthy lifestyle through fitness and realized I could help them even more through massage therapy. Over the years I’ve taken many continuing education classes in a variety of modalities, but my favorite type of massage is a therapeutic/deep tissue massage.
